Putting the Pieces Together

First truss of the new building went up this morning.

Most trusses were up at the end of the day today.

All the trusses are up and work is proceeding on the gables on one side. Our office has moved to the library temporarily as we turn the old office into a laboratory.

Mumbi of our Team Clean preparing the lab for a coat of paint.

Electrician Martin upgrading the wiring for our lab.

Steve and the gang putting up the gables on the North side of the new building.

Many parents of the 189 children attending our school have been helping us to dig a hole for our new sanitation block, and today they were out in force clearing the land where we plan to build some classrooms. Thank you parents!

Mechanic Samuel Mwaura welded the last of the windows into the new building, and then mason Josephat and the team went to work adding cement.

Paul is adding a couple of coats of new paint to the future lab.

Josephat and the team unloading poles from the Bedford truck that will become the scaffolding we need for them to complete the gables.

Enoch preparing to put on the facia of the building.

The carpentry team started putting up the roof on the Eastern side of the building.

Josephat and the masonry team quickly built up some scaffolding and finished the southern gable today, and then started work on the northern one.
